Legal Advice
Orestis has extensive experience in providing legal advice to large Law Firms based in the UK and EU, high-net worth individuals, and large commercial entities, such as Commercial Banks and Administrative Service Providers regarding matters of criminal law, especially relating to money laundering, fraud, extradition proceedings, and mutual legal assistance. He has also provided legal advice for constitutional and civil law matters to professional bodies and unions.

Representative Role
Orestis is the representative of the
Cyprus Bar Association in the
Criminal Law Committee of
The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe since 2016. He was appointed by the Cyprus Bar Association, in 2016, as their legal expert in criminal law and as their representative in the TRAINAC project, which was funded by the European Commission and was organised by the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe. He also contributed to the publication of
“TRAINAC: Assessment, good practices and recommendations on the right to interpretation and translation, the right to information and the right of access to a lawyer in criminal proceedings”. The report was published by the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe and the European Lawyers Foundation.
